Light art. That's what you see on the cover of Pearl Jam's new album: 'Dark Matter'. The effect was created by a homemade kaleidoscope by artist Alexander Gnezdilov. The letters on the cover are also painted with light. It shows that after all these years the band doesn't take anything for granted.

'Dark Matter' was recorded in a studio in Malibu and produced by Andrew Watt, who has an encyclopedic knowledge of the band, and was sometimes able to point out facts to the band that they themselves no longer knew. The album shows a typical Pearl Jam sound, with a driving groove, and Vedder's voice still sounds powerful and urgent. There is no such thing as going back a notch for this iconic band.
