Fin Greenall, aka Fink, recorded the album in 30 days in total isolation with Tim Thornton (drums/guitar) and Guy Whittaker (bass). Born Cornishman Greenall, now living in Berlin, sought out the solitude and back-to-earth atmosphere of the small village of Zennor in the English county of Cornwall, on the province's picturesque Atlantic coast, for the agenda-free, organic recording sessions.

The band was invited to record at producer Sam Okell's new studio, and was the first band to record an album there. Okell is the Grammy award-winning recording engineer and mixer on the 50th anniversary releases of Get Back and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by The Beatles.
